Lithographs – Lithographs are the most widely produced editions of The Washout. These prints are produced by a 4-color process known as offset-lithography. This “mass-production” process utilizes small red, green, blue and black dots to approximate the colors of the original artwork. Additional single color touch plates may be added to the printing to enhance colors closer to those of the original painting. Our lithographs are printed on acid-free archival paper, using permanent inks. Each Lithograph has an image area of approximately 19½” x 26” and is hand-signed and numbered in pencil by the artist in the lower margin of the print. Lithographs are being offered in two editions:
- Regular Edition - limited by the number ordered before December 8, 2015. Each Regular Edition Lithograph is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and one gold embossed seal.
- Artist's Proof - limited to only 200 proofs. Each Artist's Proof Lithograph is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and two gold embossed seals.
• Giclées - These Editions are more collectible edition produced by giclée printing. The term giclée (zhee – clay) is French meaning “spraying of ink”. Giclée prints are produced on a 12-color printer utilizing archival inks transferred on to an acid-free cotton rag paper. Giclée printers are able to produce a wider range of color and higher definition detail than possible with tradition lithographic printing. Each Giclée has an image area of approximately 19½” x 26” and is hand-signed and numbered in ink by the artist in the lower margin of the print. Giclées are being offered in two editions:
- Collector's Edition - limited by the number ordered before January 8, 2016. Each Collector's Edotopm Giclée is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and two gold embossed seals.
- Museum Edition - limited to only 100 prints. Each Muesum Edition Giclée is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and three gold embossed seals. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Museum Edition Giclée goes to benefit the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
• Canvas Giclées - The Canvas Editions are produced by the same giclée method as the Giclée prints (above). The Canvas Giclées are produced on a 12-color printer using archival inks transferred on to a canvas substrate. Using the giclée method, the canvas evokes the emotion, details and subtleties of the original painting. Each Artist’s Edition Giclée has an image area of approximately 26” x 37” and is hand-signed and numbered in oils by the artist on the lower portion of the canvas. Canvas Giclées are being offered in two editions:
- Standard Edition - limited by the number ordered before January 8, 2016. Each Standard Edition Canvas Giclée is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and a brass nameplate.
- Artist's Edition - limited to only 10 canvases. Each Artist's Edition Canvas Giclée is accompanied by a Certificate of Limited Edition and a brass nameplate.
